An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the NPCC MOSOVO (Management of Sexual or Violent Offenders) portfolio as a Staff Officer supporting DCC Blackwell, the National Lead. Based at Penrith Police HQ within the Executive Support Team, this is a high-profile role at the centre of national coordination, helping drive strategic activity across policing and partner agencies to protect the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend national meetings and event to represent the NPCC portfolio lead
- Undertake staff officer functions for the NPCC portfolio such as minute taking, drafting letters, organising, and facilitating meetings and responding to correspondence
- Administration and facilitation of the NPCC MOSOVO National Working Group meetings
- Act as a conduit for all forces and the NPCC National MOSOVO portfolio to ensure that forces are provided with current policy and procedures
- Support the NPCC MOSOVO lead and portfolio with any ancillary tasks in conjunction with Home Office, College of Policing and HMPPS colleagues
- Other tasks at the discretion of the NPCC lead
The role is part time, 14.8hours per week, under the police staff flexible working scheme. However, candidates should be aware that the postholder will be expected to travel and attend meetings nationally and change working days to accommodate this.
