Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Minibus owner and driver to operate and maintain a commercial minibus. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. This role involves transporting passengers safely and efficiently while ensuring the vehicle remains in optimal condition. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing their own vehicle, adhering to safety regulations, and providing exceptional service to clients.
Duties
- Safely operate the minibus for scheduled routes and private hires, ensuring punctuality and passenger safety
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle servicing schedules
- Communicate effectively with passengers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any concerns
- Manage all aspects of vehicle ownership, including compliance with licensing requirements and insurance documentation
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage or equipment as required
- Report any mechanical issues promptly and arrange for repairs when necessary
Experience
- Proven experience as a driver specialising in commercial or passenger transport, preferably with delivery driver experience
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and mechanical systems
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and clients
- Experience in driving minibuses or similar vehicles is highly desirable
- Familiarity with local routes, traffic regulations, and safety standards within the UK
