We are a family-run construction company known for our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. With a diverse portfolio of projects across Surrey, from bespoke renovations to new builds. We are now looking for a talented 1st & 2nd Fix Carpenter to join our team on a self-employed basis.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled 1st & 2nd Fix Carpenter with a proven track record in both structural and finishing carpentry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of carpentry work, from cutting and pitching roofs to fitting doors and bespoke cabinetry. You will play a key role in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Timber Work: Erect timber frames, joists, and partitions.
- Roof Construction: Cut and pitch roofs, including fitting rafters, trusses, fascias, and soffits.
- 1st Fix Carpentry: Install door/window frames, staircases, and stud walls.
- 2nd Fix Carpentry: Fit internal doors, skirting boards, architraves, kitchen units, wardrobes, and other cabinetry.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other trades on-site.
-Operatives must be complaint with site PPE requirements at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Experience in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, including roof construction and structural timber work.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural plans and technical drawings.
- Tools & Transport: Must have your own tools and reliable transport to travel across Surrey.
- Attention to Detail: A strong eye for detail, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication skills.

Benefits:
Site Hours:
- Monday to Friday, with Saturdays available.
- Operatives are to be on site for 07:45, ready to start work at 08:00, with the working day finishing at 16:00
- Overtime
