Sports Coach Specialist (Part-Time) – Ealing
Location: Ealing
Position Type: Part-Time / Term Time Only
Hours: 7.5 hours per week
- Wednesdays 4:30-6:15pm
- Thursdays 1:30-4:10pm
- Saturdays 9-1pm
Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Sports Coach to deliver engaging sports enrichment sessions for students in a school setting in Ealing. This role is ideal for a coach who is passionate about encouraging participation, developing confidence, and promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering enjoyable recreational sports sessions that cater to students of varying abilities, with a focus on participation, teamwork, and enjoyment rather than competitive performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality sports enrichment sessions during scheduled school hours.
- Engage and motivate students of all abilities in a positive and inclusive environment.
- Plan and adapt activities to suit different age groups and skill levels.
- Promote teamwork, confidence, resilience, and sportsmanship.
- Ensure all sessions are conducted safely and in line with safeguarding and health & safety requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with school staff and students.
- Set up and pack away equipment before and after sessions.
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience coaching sport with children or young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver fun, engaging, and inclusive sessions.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities when working with children.
Desirable:
- Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience delivering sports within schools.
- First Aid qualification.
- Ability to coach a variety of sports and physical activities.
