We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead Digital Engineering and Product Lifecycle Management transformation projects within our Sustainable Business Solutions team. This role is ideal for individuals who can combine deep engineering and process knowledge with the latest innovations in digital toolchains, AI‑enabled engineering workflows, and model‑based enterprise approaches.
You will guide clients through complex engineering and product‑lifecycle challenges, define strategy, lead multi‑disciplinary teams, and deliver high‑impact transformation across sectors.

Lead Digital Engineering projects end‑to‑end across assessment, strategy, and implementation phases.

Manage multi‑disciplinary technical and functional teams and set direction with senior client stakeholders.

Design and optimise engineering processes across the product lifecycle using Deloitte’s preconfigured methodologies.
Client & Market Engagement

Support business development through bid leadership, sales activity, and the creation of eminence and thought‑leadership materials.

Sustainability Knowledge Academic education and/or working experience in environmental planning, infrastructure, engineering, geospatial science, or nature/biodiversity is an advantage.

AI‑Augmented Engineering Ability to convert intent (stories, specs, tests) into high‑quality code using AI, craft effective prompts, critique and harden AI output, and curate reusable prompt patterns. (Developer autonomous coding/testing/docs).
- Architecture & Systems Thinking Decompose systems, define stable interfaces, choose patterns/data models, and ensure AI‑generated code fits the architecture (maintainability, performance, cost).

Quality & Testing (AI‑first) Design test oracles; use AI to generate/refine unit/integration/contract tests; shift‑left security; create traceable evidence. (Auto‑test generation from flows/sprints).

Security, Compliance & AI Governance Apply secure SDLC, manage secrets/PII in prompts, maintain AI audit trails, and conform to enterprise AI policies and controls; choose safe integration patterns (prompting, RAG, fine‑tuning) with documented trade‑offs

Data, Model & Platform Fluency Understand data contracts, embeddings, vector stores, context windows, and failure modes; know when to use prompting vs. RAG vs. fine‑tuning.

Delivery & DevEx Own CI/CD for AI‑assisted code, feature flags, canary/rollback, observability (logs/metrics/traces/prompts), and developer productivity tooling.

Product & Collaboration Translate outcomes into stories/prompts; triage ambiguity; align with product, design, security, and operations; maintain shared knowledge bases and prompt libraries.

Communication & Documentation (GenAI‑enabled) Generate and refine docs with AI, but prove accuracy, completeness, and legal/ethical compliance; keep design notes and ADRs current. (Evidence of 90% time reduction for docs underscores the need for human validation.)
