GreenFolk Gardening provides high-quality garden maintenance and design for beautiful private gardens and estates across the South West. Our work takes us to some exceptional landscapes across Bristol, Bath, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Monmouthshire.
We are looking for an experienced gardener with strong horticultural knowledge to join our growing team and take on a Team Leader role, managing small teams while maintaining gardens to the highest standard.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working outdoors in exceptional gardens, and wants to play a key role in delivering outstanding horticultural care.
The Role
As a Team Leader you will:
- Lead and support a small team maintaining high-end private gardens
- Carry out seasonal garden maintenance including herbaceous border care, pruning, and plant management
- Delegate tasks and guide team members to maintain excellent standards
- Train newer team members in the safe and effective use of tools and equipment
- Build positive relationships with clients while representing the GreenFolk brand
Essential Requirements
Please only apply if you meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 5 years horticultural experience
- At least 2 years experience in garden maintenance
- Excellent plant identification skills
- Strong knowledge of plant care, pruning techniques and seasonal timings
- A keen eye for detail and pride in maintaining gardens to a high standard
- Proven experience using a wide range of gardening tools and machinery
- Own vehicle suitable for transporting tools and team members
Desirable
- Previous team leadership experience
- Experience building strong client relationships
- RHS Level 2 or 3 horticultural qualification
