Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fish Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and cooking, with experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Fish Fryer will be responsible for preparing and frying fish according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring a consistent and enjoyable dining experience.
Duties
- Prepare fresh fish for frying, including cleaning, filleting, and seasoning as required
- Cook fish to the specified standards using appropriate frying techniques and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with meal preparation and other kitchen duties as needed during busy periods
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are followed to minimise waste
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee food quality and safety standards are met
- Support team members in delivering excellent service by maintaining a smooth workflow during service hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is essential
- Experience in meal preparation and kitchen operations will be advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required
