Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations & Business Development Manager to lead our property portfolio growth and optimise operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our deal pipeline, strengthening relationships with agents, brokers, and investors, and streamlining internal processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional with a strong background in property, operations management, and business development within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to identify new BTL and HMO acquisition opportunities and expand our property portfolio.
Lead the deal sourcing process from prospecting through to offer and completion, ensuring acquisition targets are met or exceeded.
Manage and nurture relationships with key agents, brokers, solicitors, and investors to foster long-term deal flow and collaboration.
Oversee daily portfolio operations, ensuring rental income, void management, maintenance, and compliance standards are maintained across all assets.
Collaborate with letting agents, accountants, and solicitors to optimise workflows, cost efficiency, and asset performance.
Utilise CRM and deal-tracking software to monitor acquisition pipelines, investor interactions, and portfolio performance metrics for informed decision-making.
Prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance, market trends, and operational challenges for Director review.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance productivity and investor satisfaction.
Skills
Proven experience in property management, business development, or operations leadership within a relevant industry.
Strong proficiency in CRM or deal-tracking tools such as Notion, Airtable, or Salesforce for managing pipelines and performance data.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assets and workstreams simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with agents, investors, and professional advisers.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse deal data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable acquisition plans.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of taking ownership and delivering results without close supervision.
