Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's developmental needs in line with early childhood education standards
- Supervise and monitor children's behaviour, ensuring their safety at all times
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment
- Support children's emotional well-being and individual learning journeys
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play
- Contribute to the planning of curriculum activities and assessments
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting
- Ensuring safeguarding children is of top priority
Experience
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Management or leadership experience is advantageous but not essential
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate nursery-related travel or outings
