Confectioner & Cake Decorator
Bakewell Bakery is looking for a talented and creative Confectioner & Cake Decorator to join our friendly and passionate bakery team.
We're looking for someone who has a genuine love for baking and cake decorating, with excellent attention to detail and a flair for creating beautiful, high-quality products that our customers will love.
The Role
As a Confectioner & Cake Decorator, you'll be responsible for producing and decorating a wide range of cakes, traybakes, desserts, and confectionery items to the high standards Bakewell Bakery is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, fill, ice, and decorate cakes and confectionery products.
- Produce traybakes, celebration cakes, cupcakes, and seasonal products.
- Create attractive finishes using buttercream, chocolate, and other decorating techniques.
- Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow recipes and production schedules efficiently.
- Ensure excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety standards at all times.
- Work closely with the bakery team to develop new and exciting products.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a confectioner, pastry chef, or cake decorator.
- Strong cake decorating and finishing skills.
- Creativity and passion for producing exceptional bakery products.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
- A positive attitude and pride in delivering high-quality work.

- Monday to Friday schedule – no weekend working
