Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle on designated residential routes.
- Safely and efficiently empty bins independently, without a crew.
- Use an iPad to follow daily routes, report bin issues, and record payments or notes.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate records of collections and any incidents as per company procedures.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Interact politely and professionally with residents.
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Clean licence preferred.
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience in waste collection or driving large vehicles is an advantage, but not essential.
- Strong understanding of road safety and vehicle compliance.
- Good physical fitness and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable using an iPad or similar device for route and data input.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well independently.
