Are you an experienced Repairs Supervisor looking for a long-term opportunity in North London? We are seeking a proactive and technically minded Supervisor to join a leading social housing maintenance contractor on a Temp-to-Perm basis.
You will be responsible for overseeing a team of multi-trade operatives, ensuring that reactive repairs across North London are completed to a high standard, safely, and on time.
The Offer:
- Pay Rate: £27.00 per hour (Umbrella/CIS)
- Contract: Temp-to-Perm (12-week probation period)
- Benefits: Company Van and Fuel Card from day one
- Location: North London (Covering boroughs such as Enfield, Barnet, and Haringey)
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Supervise a team of multi-trade operatives (Plumbers, Carpenters, Electricians), providing technical support and guidance
- Quality Control: Conduct pre- and post-inspections of works to ensure they meet high-quality standards and "Right First Time" targets
- Health & Safety: Ensure all operatives are working safely, conducting tool-box talks, and monitoring PPE compliance
- Workload Management: Manage the daily schedule via PDA, ensuring all reactive call-outs are attended within set SLAs
- Customer Care: Resolve resident queries and complaints effectively, maintaining high levels of satisfaction within occupied properties
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Supervisor within the Social Housing sector (specifically reactive repairs)
- Technical Background: Ideally from a trade background (e.g., Carpentry, Plumbing)
- Compliance: Must hold a valid SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- Skills: Excellent communication skills and proficiency in using PDA/Tablet systems and Schedule of Rates (SORs)
