The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive loading shovel & dump trucks to transport materials such as soil, gravel, rocks, or sand to and from construction sites
- Follow safety regulations and traffic laws at all times
- Inspect trucks before and after each trip to ensure roadworthiness
- Secure loads properly to prevent spillage or shifting during transit
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor
- Adhere to delivery schedules and deadlines
Skills:
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver
- Valid Class C driving licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive and operate a dump truck efficiently
- Knowledge of flatbed trucks and their operation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
