Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chef/Cook to join our small but friendly team, in an independent cafe opening soon. The ideal candidate will share our passion for fresh food, our commitment to quality and providing a warm and welcoming environment. Serving breakfast, brunch, homemade cakes and great coffee.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative chef/cook to join us at the beginning of our journey to help create the menu, set up the well equipped and spacious kitchen and bring their experience and ideas to the table.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to create menu and daily seasonal specials.
- Prepare and cook fresh, homemade breakfast, lunch items.
- Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Manage day to day kitchen operations and assist with stock control.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring meals are prepared in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a chef or cook in a café or restaurant setting essential
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Passion for cooking and creating delicious and fresh meals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Flexible approach.
- Willingness to assist front of house if necessary.
- Weekend working till 2 pm.
