Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor in Norwich
Salary: £70,000 per annum + Car Allowance + Benefits
Paragon are working in partnership with a leading national maintenance and refurbishment provider with over 1,000 employees and 13 offices across the UK. Delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment, compliance and decarbonisation programmes across housing, healthcare, education, defence and commercial sectors, they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Norwich.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in planned works, social housing and refurbishment programmes to play a key role in delivering long-term contracts and ensuring strong commercial performance.
The Role
You will be responsible for the commercial and financial management of planned refurbishment and disrepair projects, ensuring cost control, contractual compliance and value for money throughout project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial performance of planned refurbishment works.
- Preparing and reviewing valuations, cost reports, forecasts and cost value reconciliations.
- Managing subcontractor accounts, applications, payments and final accounts.
- Pricing, assessing and managing variations.
- Supporting budget preparation and cashflow forecasting.
- Working closely with operational teams to maximise commercial outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with contract requirements and client expectations.
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities across contracts.
- Supporting audits, reporting and governance processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment or construction.
- Good working knowledge of SOR codes and framework-based contracts.
- Experience managing the commercial aspects of disrepair works.
- Demonstrable experience working on kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes.
- Strong commercial awareness and cost control capability.
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel and commercial management systems.
Desirable
- HNC, HND or Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Experience working on local authority or housing association contracts.
