Fire Risk Assessor Overview:
We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to support an expanding compliance team. This position provides the chance to guide and mentor colleagues, take on leadership responsibilities, and help develop the fire risk assessment function as the organisation grows.
Fire Risk Assessor Main Responsibilities:
· Carry out fire risk assessments in accordance with current fire safety legislation.
· Prepare detailed, accurate, and compliant fire risk assessment reports.
· Offer guidance, support, and mentoring to less experienced assessors.
· Contribute to the hiring, training, and performance management of the assessor team.
· Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing practical fire safety advice and managing expectations.
· Participate in quality assurance, auditing, and process improvement initiatives.
· Stay informed on updates to fire safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Fire Risk Assessor Skills & Experience Required:
· Demonstrated background in conducting fire risk assessments for residential properties, including both low- and high-rise buildings.
· Holds a recognised fire risk assessment qualification, at least Tier 2 on an approved register.
· Comprehensive understanding of current fire safety laws, regulations, and guidance.
· Experience in guiding or supervising colleagues, or a clear interest in moving into a leadership role.
· Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
