We are working with a specialist school in Wiltshire to find a committed, proactive Teaching Assistant to join their TA team. We have roles available in Chippenham, Trowbridge and Devizes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children with complex needs and understands the importance of a calm, nurturing environment. You will be part of a highly experienced and supportive team, helping pupils develop their communication, independence and emotional regulation.
The classes are small, and the setting includes a sensory room, hydrotherapy pool, forest school and animal care provision. It is a creative, hands-on environment designed to help pupils feel safe and confident in their learning.
Ideal candidates will:
- Have experience in nurseries, care settings, education or youth work. Those with experience in health care also do well in this school
- Remain calm and responsive in busy or challenging situations
- Understand sensory and communication needs
- Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Bring positivity, patience and initiative to the role
- Be comfortable with personal care.
