HGV Technician – Lancaster (4 on 4 off Days)
Pay: £21.80 per hour (includes shift premium) + Technician Grade Bonus
Hours: 4 on 4 off day shifts, 07:00 – 19:00 (42 hours per week average)
Contract: Permanent
Earning Potential (OTE)
- Hourly Rate (including shift premium): £21.80 per hour
- Basic Salary: £45,634 per year
- With 3 hours overtime per week: + £5,101 per year
- Technician Grade Bonus: On top of basic
- Realistic OTE: £51,000 – £55,000+ per year
Overview
We need a Level 3 qualified HGV Technician for a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern in Lancaster. You'll work 7am to 7pm and get half the year off. Great work-life balance with weekly pay, manufacturer training, and progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake maintenance and repair on commercial vehicles and trailers
- Diagnose faults, carry out tests, and complete permanent repairs
- Complete warranty, contract, and retail paperwork
- Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise customer costs
What You'll Need
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Experience in diagnosis, servicing, and repair of commercial vehicles
- Organised and methodical with attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence preferred but not essential)
