principle responsibilities
- To prepare menus to cover a four week period
- To review menus at regular intervals to ensure they meet the needs of the residents
- To prepare cook and serve meals in accordance with the menus
- To implement and maintain ordering systems to ensure adequate stock is maintained
- To ensure stock items are rotated, taking into account "use by date"
- To supervise kitchen staff in their duties ensuring these are carried out to the required standard
- To check all deliveries of food, cross referencing with the order and for quality
- To implement cleaning schedules to maintain a clean safe working environment
- To maintain records as per the homes policies and procedures and as required by other statutory Pbodies.
- To work in accordance with the homes policies and procedures
- To involve the residents in as many of your duties as possible, baking must be completed with the residents on a daily basis and the preparation of the meal for that day.
- Cover the annual leave of you fellow cook
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: Up to £29,000.00 per year
