We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Qualified Hairdresser to operate as a self-employed professional within our established salon environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional hairdressing services and have experience in various specialised treatments. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to build a loyal client base while showcasing your skills in a professional setting. Applicants should be confident in managing their own appointments, providing excellent customer service, and upselling additional treatments to maximise client satisfaction and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide range of hairdressing services including cutting, colouring and styling
- Manage your own appointment schedule efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service to build rapport and retain clients.
- Assist with front desk duties when necessary, including greeting clients and managing bookings.
- Offer personalised consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable treatments or products.
- Upsell additional services or retail products to enhance client experience and increase sales.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation within your work area.
- Mentor junior staff or apprentices when required, sharing expertise and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and industry developments to continuously improve your skills.
Experience
- Proven experience as a qualified hairdresser with a strong portfolio of work and existing client base.
- Demonstrable skills in store management or salon operations are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in customer service roles within the beauty or hairdressing industry.
- Ability to mentor or guide less experienced colleagues is a plus.
