About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, passionate and inspirational Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a busy, premium casual dining restaurant.
We’re looking for a strong leader who is passionate about fresh food, quality ingredients and consistently delivering exceptional dishes. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing both people and menus.
The Role
As Head Chef you will:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Inspire, motivate and develop the kitchen team.
- Ensure every dish is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Create seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Maintain excellent food quality, consistency and portion control.
- Manage food purchasing, stock control and supplier relationships.
- Control kitchen costs, food margins and minimise waste.
- Recruit, train and develop kitchen staff.
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety legislation.
- Work closely with senior management to deliver an outstanding dining experience.
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen at all times.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Sous Chef ready for the next step.
- A passion for fresh food, quality ingredients and delivering consistently high standards.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience in menu planning, food costing and kitchen budgeting.
- A thorough understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety regulations.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Ability to reliably commute to the workplace or relocate before starting employment.
