Salary: £13,443.11
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 1.30pm
Weeks Worked: Term Time only – 45 weeks (including INSET days)
St Thomas More are looking to appoint an organised, approachable individual to coordinate the Sixth Form study area, encourage the successful learning of students and motivate them to achieve their potential. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of different audiences and strong IT skills, with the ability to use a variety of systems.
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team that has cultivated a genuinely cohesive working environment – sharing ideas, best practice and resources.

Job Description
Function:
To co-ordinate the Sixth Form provision to enable our young people to:-
- Be successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens
- Achieve high standards and make better progress in subjects
- Be more engaged, motivated and committed to their learning
- Engage with learning to age 19 and beyond
Duties:
- Supervise 6th Form students in silent study area
- Any other ad hoc duties as required to ensure the safe and smooth running of the school
Person Specification
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences
- Strong IT skills with an aptitude to grasp new packages
- Proven high level of organisation skills
- Self-motivated and able to work under own direction
- Sympathy with the school’s religious nature
Desirable:
- Experience of working with young people and meeting their particular needs and requirements.
- Experience of working with a school management system
