Job Summary
We are looking for a technically strong and analytical IT Consultant to support and maintain low latency financial applications and backend services. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, onboarding clients, monitoring applications, automation scripting, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth platform operations.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Financial Domain concepts, Python scripting, Networks, FIX Protocol, and Application Support processes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for low latency financial applications and services used by customers
- Troubleshoot application, network, integration, and performance-related issues in production environments
- Build, test, and maintain code enhancements and automation scripts for operational tasks
- Review and support integrations between internal platforms and external applications
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to investigate and resolve technical issues end-to-end
- Manage customer expectations and ensure timely resolution within agreed timelines
- Setup, configure, and maintain application monitoring using Grafana and related monitoring tools
- Automate repetitive operational procedures using Python, Bash, or Batch scripting
- Install, configure, and maintain backend services and support client onboarding activities
- Support FIX onboarding, connectivity troubleshooting, and related financial messaging workflows
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment notes, and support updates where required
- Participate in testing, deployment validation, and production release activities
Skills/Experience Required:
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Python Coding and automation scripting
- Good knowledge of Bash / Batch Scripting
- Experience in Application Support and Production Issue Troubleshooting
- Understanding of Low Latency Systems and Financial Trading environments
- Knowledge of FIX Protocol and client onboarding processes
- Experience with Grafana or similar monitoring tools
- Good understanding of Networks, Linux Systems, and Backend Services
- Familiarity with Testing, Deployment, and DevOps practices
- Experience in log analysis, debugging, and root cause investigation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ashford TW15 2RP
