We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Groundworker with specialist expertise in porcelain laying to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who takes pride in delivering top-quality workmanship on every project.
Remuneration
£25.00 per hour | £200.00 per day
Key Requirements
Minimum 15 years' hands-on groundwork experience
Demonstrable, extensive knowledge of porcelain paving and tile laying
Proficiency in sub-base preparation, levelling, and drainage
Strong understanding of tolerances and falls for outdoor porcelain installations
Ability to work with large-format porcelain slabs with precision
Competent in the use of all relevant hand and power tools
Valid CSCS card (preferred but not essential — if you have the experience we require, we still want to hear from you)
Full UK clean driving licence — a vehicle can be provided for those who qualify
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Responsibilities
Laying and finishing porcelain paving to the highest standard
Preparing and compacting sub-bases
Installing drainage and edging systems
Reading and interpreting project plans and specifications
Accurately gauging and calculating the materials required to complete a project, and clearly relaying this information to the team responsible for ordering
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised worksite
Liaising with site managers and other trades as required
Working efficiently and confidently as a solo operative, with the ability to assess challenges on site and find practical solutions independently
