Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Stopping Site Manager to oversee and manage passive fire protection and fire stopping works on a major HS2 construction project in Rickmansworth. This is an opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily fire stopping operations across multiple work areas.
- Supervise site teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
- Ensure compliance with HS2 standards, building regulations, and passive fire protection requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections, audits, and maintain accurate records of installed systems.
- Coordinate with main contractors, client representatives, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor programme progress, labour resources, and material requirements.
- Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture on site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing fire stopping/passive fire protection projects.
- Strong knowledge of fire compartmentation, penetration sealing, and relevant industry standards.
- SMSTS certification.
- CSCS Card (Management Level preferred).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience working on large infrastructure, rail, or major construction projects is advantageous.
