SMT are a company that specialise in the blasting and coating of steel.
We are currently looking for additional members to join our fire proofing team. The role will require you to have a good knowledge of fire proofing application with experience in intumescent coatings, primers and gloss work.
Working to a range of finishes and thicknesses with multicoat systems dependant on the client’s request, the chosen applicant must be able to follow instructions closely to ensure the work is completed promptly and to the desired standard.
· TTP or ICATS training is desirable but not essential.
· FLT licence desirable but not essential.
· Knowledge of Graco painting equipment.
· Use of airless pumps.
· Good housekeeping.
· Self-motivation.
· Good knowledge of Health and Safety while working in and around a workshop.
Working to a shift pattern rotating between 6-2 and 12-8 with a wage to be discussed based on experience paid weekly. Overtime available most weekends with a rate of time and a half on Saturdays and double time on Sundays (As long as the 40-hour contract has been completed that week.) Government pension option available. With 22 annual days leave and the option for bank holidays to be worked or taken as leave.
