Overview
Fingerprints Nursery is seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Nursery & Room Leader to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role actively managing a team of Early Years Educators in supporting the development and well-being of young children within a nurturing and stimulating environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in childcare and early childhood education to make a positive impact on children's lives while developing their management and leadership skills. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, play, rest, and learning activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times in accordance with safeguarding policies
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Manage classroom resources efficiently and organise learning environments to maximise engagement
- Lead by example in demonstrating management and leadership qualities within the team, and supporting the Nursery Manager in delivering our strategy, goals and objectives
- Assist with organising outings or trips that enhance the children's learning experiences
- Contribute to ongoing staff training programmes to stay updated with best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated management and leadership abilities within a childcare environment
- Experience with child development assessments and planning educational activities
- Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle is required for occasional travel to other nurseries in the group when required
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years childcare is required
- Other onboarding commitments to be discussed on application and at interview
