Job Summary
To carry out a variety of complex process operations (e.g. Dispensing, Blending, Granulation, Compression, Encapsulation, Coating) in line with the production schedule and agreed targets, throughout the shift so that operational targets and internal customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Key Tasks:
· Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
· Control all materials entering and exiting the department ensuring all materials are checked against the material requisition and entered onto the process sheets.
· Cleaning – to strip, clean and reassemble plant in accordance with set procedures.
· Health & Safety – to work in line with the company Health, Safety and Environmental policy.
· Quality – to follow the company quality objectives. Ensuring that all products are made safely and to specification by undertaking the required process checks. Continuously look for areas of improvement to benefit both Customer and Company.
· Observe G.M.P at all times.
General Duties:
· Accurately weighing out ingredients in accordance with batch cards.
· Filling and unloading machines – lifting bags of product up to 25kg. Lifting equipment available.
· Filling hoppers from barrels – bending, lifting, bending into barrels. Scooping powder or tablets from barrels into hoppers.
· Prepare coating solutions in accordance with the batch cards.
· Load / Unload tablets from coating machines.
· Cleaning out machines and the work area – bending, wiping, vacuuming, mopping, brushing.
· Opening, closing pot lids – hand / wrist dexterity and strength.
· Packing tablets into boxes, pots, tubs, labelling of packaging.
· Manually remove shrink wrap, straps and tape from goods in.
· Manually wrap goods for despatch with shrink wrap and tape.
· Pick and move boxes to pallets.
