Overview:
We are seeking a Collibra Ranger / SME to drive the implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of a data governance framework using the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform. This role will act as the bridge between business, data, and technology teams, ensuring that data assets are well-governed, discoverable, and trusted across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and optimise the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform

Maintain communities, domains, assets, and workflows

Ensure metadata is structured, consistent, and aligned to governance standards

Support and enforce data governance policies, standards, and frameworks
-
Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Business SMEs
-
Facilitate governance forums and decision-making processes
-
Oversee the data catalogue lifecycle (onboarding, classification, enrichment)

Define and maintain business glossaries and data definitions
-
Ensure lineage, ownership, and classification are captured accurately

Act as a Collibra champion ("Ranger") across the business

Train and support users to increase platform adoption

Translate business requirements into Collibra solutions

Work with data teams to monitor and improve data quality metrics

Support regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., POPIA, GDPR where applicable)

Ensure audit readiness through proper governance controls

Collaborate with technical teams to integrate Collibra with:

Data warehouses / data lakes

BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)

ETL/ELT pipelines

Support API usage and automation where applicable
Essential skills:
- Proven experience working with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform

Ability to translate business needs into governance solutions
