Overview
We are a Catering, Retail and Wholesale Butcher based in the village of Stonebroom near Alfreton in Derbyshire, we have been established since 1954.
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting Meat Products safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and delivering exceptional customer service. A valid driving licence is essential, experience in commercial driving would be an advantage but not essential for this position.
Duties
- Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
- Load and unload Meat Products carefully, ensuring the safety of goods during transit.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients and complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Follow all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies at all times.
Skills
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving licence suitable for commercial driving.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices or maps effectively.
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial driving is desirable. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their driving skills and delivering outstanding service while maintaining safety standards throughout their shifts.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
