We are looking for an experienced and motivated Review Manager to join our Adult Social Care Community Team at City of York Council. In this vital role, you will be responsible for completing statutory reviews under the Care Act 2014, ensuring that people receiving care and support continue to receive services that are appropriate, proportionate, and focused on achieving the outcomes that matter most to them
Working collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, providers, and partner organisations, you will use a strengths-based, person-centred approach to review care and support arrangements, promoting independence wherever possible while ensuring eligible needs continue to be met.

Whilst York has adopted a hybrid working model, office presence is required, a minimum of 2 days per week.

To apply you will need good knowledge of adult social care processes and have previous experience working with adults and carers. You will need to be motivated and passionate about making a difference to the lives of people in York. You will also be able to adopt a strengths-based approach and be creative when completing reviews, considering a person’s own network, resources and abilities.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C1: Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly. Only a conceptually difficult subject can hinder a natural, smooth flow of language.
Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
