We are looking for a committed, passionate Registered Manager to manage teams at a small cluster of solo homes in the Oldham area. We have well-established staffing teams in place with team leaders for each home, and this role would sit alongside our CQC registered manager for adult and complex care.
This is the perfect role for a well established children's home deputy manager or children's home manager that wants to grow with an exciting and progressive service.
We are open to applicants who have:
· A minimum of 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children (within the last 5 years) - the more experience the better
· At least 1 year in an equivalent role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in children's residential care - we are ideally looking for a seasoned candidate
· A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)
· A full, UK driving licence
· Demonstrable knowledge of what is expected during Ofsted inspections
Candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations.

· Ensure safeguarding of all young people underpins every decision made
· Promote positive outcomes for young people in all aspects of their care
· Lead by example and maintain good professional practices in accordance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and quality standards for children’s homes
· Accountability for the safety and wellbeing of our young people
· Help create a supportive and positive environment for each young person with particular reference to his or her safety, health and education
· Comply with relevant health and safety legislation, policy and procedures in the performance of the duties of the post
· Contribute to the planning, delivery and review of services within Pennine Social Care Ltd
· Monitor and maintain standards against agreed criteria and objectives and to implement quality assurance systems, which reflect agreed good practice
· Manage resources effectively, including budgets, buildings and equipment
· Manage staff resources flexibly and efficiently within an agreed arrangement
· Co-ordinate, attend, chair all staff and children’s meeting, and further agency meetings as and when required in a professional manner
· Ensure effective communication is maintained with all staff through written information, team briefings and management meetings.
· Provide supervision, appraisals and training for all team members in accordance with agreed policies.
· Effectively and comprehensively participate in recruitment and selection of new staff members
· Be committed to personal, professional development
· Keep up-to-date with new legislation and practice development
· Other duties relevant to the post
The starting salary for this post is £44,000 per annum, subject to level of experience and immediacy of availability.
