Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Wheelie Bin Operator to join our team. This role involves operating a Jetwasher and generator, ensuring safe and efficient cleaning of domestic/commercial bins from designated locations. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the community or commercial premises. Prior experience in mechanical knowledge is advantageous, alongside the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly.
Responsibilities
- Operate a wheelie bin cleaning vehicle and specialised bin handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Collect, clean and return wheelie bins from various locations according to scheduled routes
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during operations
- Maintain accurate records of cleans/missed cleans and report any operational issues to supervisors
- Be prepared to take on other cleaning services we offer such as Gutter/Patio/Driveway/Roof Cleaning
Experience
- Previous experience in waste management, logistics, or a similar role is preferred but not essential
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with vehicle maintenance is advantageous
- Physical fitness with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly throughout shifts
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
