About the Role:
As an Events Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering a vibrant programme of fundraising events that bring the Alongside brand to life across Bath and the surrounding areas. Following our recent rebrand from Julian House, this position is instrumental in helping to grow our presence, engage new audiences, and strengthen our loyal supporter base.
You’ll take ownership of planning and delivering four flagship events - Circuit of Bath (September), Brain of Bath (October), Carols for Purpose at Bath Abbey (December), and the Bath Half (March) - ensuring each one is creative, well-organised, and delivered to an exceptional standard. These events are vital in raising both awareness and essential funds, as well as creating meaningful connections with supporters, partners, and the wider community.
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, highly organised, and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and a creative approach. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact, helping Alongside grow its reach while delivering memorable events that support our important work.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of a programme of fundraising events, ensuring they are high-quality and engaging.
- Manage all event logistics, including venues, suppliers, budgets, compliance, and operational delivery from planning through to event day.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, sponsors, local authorities, and volunteers to support successful delivery.
- Act as Event Lead on the day, providing leadership, managing teams, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and seamless experience for all involved.
- Monitor performance, analyse outcomes, and delivery post-event evaluations to maximise income, improve future events, and enhance supporter engagement.
Please note: Job descriptions are not exhaustive, and the successful candidate may occasionally be asked to take on other duties that align with the key responsibilities outlined.
