Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in team supervision. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse team, optimise organisational efficiency, and contribute to the overall success of our business. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with previous management or supervisory experience, particularly within retail or sales environments. Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to facilitate effective communication across diverse teams and customer bases.
Role and Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the efficiency, quality, Health & Safety and Training of the Material Prep and Assembly Team.
1. Production Efficiency:
a. Organise work to ensure continuity and efficiency of workflow.
b. Support the Production Manager in the implementation of the Production Plan.
c. Monitor Production Output to ensure targets are achieved.
d. Monitor and control Operator performance.
e. Expedite Remakes & VIP orders through production.
f. Cover for Operator absences when required.
2. Production Quality:
a. Ensure First Off Checks are carried out correctly.
b. Carry out patrol inspections to verify First Off Checks.
c. Ensure the Barcode Scanning procedure is followed.
d. Ensure Barcode Labels are applied correctly at the Presses where necessary.
e. Ensure Remake Sheets are raised and issued to Admin promptly.
f. Ensure all Quality Documentation is completed correctly and on time.
g. Ensure parts and materials are handled, stored & stacked correctly to procedures.
h. Ensure Equipment is maintained and cleaned correctly.
3. Health & Safety:
a. Always maintain Housekeeping to a high standard.
b. Make sure relevant PPE is worn at all times.
c. Ensure all appropriate HSE procedures are followed at all times.
d. Ensure all appropriate HSE inspections and records are completed.
e. Support 5s implementation.
4. Training:
a. Carry out training of Operators when required.
b. Support Management to ensure Training Records are available for all Operators.
c. Identify and report any re-training requirements.
Experience
- Previous management or supervisory experience in production management or manufacturing management roles is essential.
- Proven team management skills with the ability to lead diverse groups effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with experience intime management, quality chrvking and administrative tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, with internal and external teams.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Experience in supervising staff within fast-paced environments such manufacturing
- Understanding of Health & Safety and quality processes
Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
