Established in 1989, we operate 24/7, 365 days a year, supporting industries including construction, data centres, utilities, healthcare, events, infrastructure, rail, and critical backup power environments.
We operate a growing fleet of over 500 generators ranging from 20kVA to 1250kVA, alongside fuel tanks, battery energy storage systems (BESS), distribution equipment, load banks, and specialist cable solutions.

The role:
This role focuses on the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of remote telemetry and monitoring systems across industrial power assets.
Approximately:
- 70% depot based in Chelmsford
- 30% attending customer sites
You will work with:
· Diesel generators
· Fuel tank telemetry
· Battery monitoring systems
· DC and AC electrical systems
· control panels
· Remote monitoring devices
· Building Management Systems (BMS)
· DSE controllers and related equipment
Job Responsibilities:
· Install and configure telemetry and remote monitoring systems
· Monitor generator fleets, fuel tanks, batteries, and associated assets
· Configure and troubleshoot DSE controllers and control panels
· Support DC and AC electrical systems and circuits
· Diagnose telemetry faults, communication failures, and alarm systems
· Configure remote monitoring hardware, SIM-based devices, routers, and gateways
· Attend customer sites for installation, servicing, and fault finding
· Assist with fleet diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and reporting
· Work with BMS and industrial monitoring systems
· Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and repairs
· Support the ongoing development of the company’s telemetry infrastructure and remote asset visibility
Equipment & Systems Monitored
· Diesel generators
· Fuel tanks and fuel level monitoring systems
· Battery systems and backup power
· Engine runtime and performance
· Generator alarms and fault conditions
· GPS asset tracking
· Maintenance scheduling systems
· Remote telemetry hardware
The ideal candidate will be:
· Hands-on and technically minded
· Comfortable working both in depot and on customer sites
· Confident fault finding independently
· Organised and proactive
· Able to communicate professionally with customers and engineers
· Interested in modern telemetry and industrial monitoring technology
Ideal experience includes:
· Generator or power systems experience
· Telemetry or remote monitoring systems
· DSE controllers
· Building Management Systems (BMS)
· AC/DC electrical systems
· Control panels and circuits
· Fault finding and diagnostics
· PLC, Modbus, or industrial communication protocols
· Networking or SIM-based communication devices
· Field service or site-based engineering experience
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills
· Full UK Driving Licence (required)
· Ability to travel to sites when required
· Must have the legal right to work in the UK
Hours:
Full-time position (min 40 hours per week)
May include occasional emergency callouts depending on business needs.
