Overview
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional Part-Time Front of House Team Member to join our busy pub team. Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and create a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Take food and drink orders accurately and serve customers efficiently
- Prepare and serve beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with licensing regulations
- Handle customer enquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the bar and customer areas
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables before, during, and after service
- Promote menu items, drinks, and special offers to enhance customer experience and maximise sales
- Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Support colleagues during busy periods to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required
Experience
- Previous experience in a pub, bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service is advantageous
- Experience in customer service and hospitality is preferred
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn
