Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed lorries and other HGV vehicles in compliance with all legal and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
- Deliver goods to designated locations efficiently, adhering to scheduled delivery times
- Handle loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring securement of loads during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Follow all driving regulations, including adherence to tachograph rules and speed limits
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered on the route
- Assist with vehicle maintenance reporting when necessary
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant driving experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed deliveries preferred
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and route planning skills
- Strong commitment to safety standards and traffic regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational needs
Pay: £170.00-£200.00 per day
Experience:
- HGV Class 1 Driver: 2 years (preferred)
