Stage 1: Sift of CV and personal statement
Stage 2: Interview and an analysis of a PowerBi data set and a presentation of your findings to the panel. The assessment will be based on the analysis of Power BI, and that experience will be assessed at interview.

At sift, you will be assessed against the following Success Profile elements:
Experience you will be asked to provide a CV (unlimited word count) and personal statement (500 words).
Please provide evidence of your experience of the following:

Your strong proficiency in the use of Excel, including advanced skills in using complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation techniques.

Your extensive experience in designing interactive and insightful dashboards using Power BI.
The sift is due to take place 15th - 16th June 2026.
Stage 2: Interview
At interview stage, you will be assessed against the following Success Profile elements:

Experience
You will also be required to create and deliver a presentation assessed against experience listed above. Guidance will be provided if you are invited to interview.
Interviews are likely to be held from 29th June 2026.
This interview will be conducted via face to face at one of our offices. Further details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.

Pre-employment Checking
If your application is successful but you have been dismissed from the Civil Service, your application could be removed at the pre-employment checking stage depending on the nature of the dismissal.
