Electrician / Solar PV Electrician (Subcontractor)
Rate: £250 - £350 per day (depending on qualifications and experience)

We are a rapidly expanding solar and renewable energy company looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our installation team on a subcontract basis.
Previous Solar PV experience is preferred but not essential. We welcome applications from qualified electricians looking to move into the renewable energy sector and develop new skills. The right candidate will be joining a professional, supportive team delivering high-quality Solar PV, battery storage and EV charging installations across the South of England.
The Role
You will be involved in a variety of domestic and commercial renewable energy projects, including:
- Solar PV installations
- Battery storage systems
- EV charger installations
- Consumer unit upgrades
- Testing, inspection and commissioning
- Fault finding and remedial works
You will be expected to work safely, professionally and to a high standard while representing the company on customer sites.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Proven experience as an Electrician
- Own van
- Own tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Solar PV installation experience
- Battery storage experience
- EV charger installation experience
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
- ECS Gold Card
Pay & Benefits
- £250 - £350 per day depending on experience, qualifications and renewable energy experience
- Mileage included within day rate for standard travel
- Additional mileage paid at 20p per mile for travel exceeding 80 miles
- Accommodation (digs) paid for when working away from home

Location & Travel
Our core work is based throughout Wiltshire, however projects are carried out across the South of England. Applicants must be willing to travel and occasionally stay away when required.
