Humanities Teacher – Wigan
Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an Humanities Teacher to join a dynamic Secondary School in the Wigan area. This role is due to start in ASAP and can be offered on a part-time or full-time basis. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and confident Humanities Teacher to take over the class and deliver high-quality teaching in History, Geography and RS
Responsibilities of an Humanities Teacher include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Humanities - History, Geography and Religious Studies to KS3 and KS4 students
- Creating a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress regularly
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
- Adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
To be considered for this Humanities Teacher role, you must:
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., or BA Hons with QTS)
- Be eligible to work in the UK or be a UK resident
- Have prior experience working with children
- Have teaching experience in Humanities
- Provide two professional references covering the last 2 years (ideally involving work with children)
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one
