We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Harrow. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils across the school, with a particular focus on children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), as well as additional learning, behavioural, and emotional needs. You will play a vital role in helping these pupils access learning, build confidence, and make meaningful progress both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will provide consistent SEN support within the classroom and through targeted interventions, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support strategies. This may include 1:1 support, small group work, and adapting learning activities to meet pupils’ needs. You will also support behaviour regulation, encourage positive engagement, and help create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
The Role:
- Support pupils across the classroom in a mainstream primary school setting
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN or additional needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support pupils with behaviour management, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
- Deliver targeted interventions to support progress in key areas of learning
- Help pupils develop communication, literacy, numeracy, and social skills
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive relationships
- Support personal care needs where required (if applicable)
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and support staff
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is essential
- Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs is highly desirable
- A patient, caring and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Pay: £95.00-£115.00 per day
