Our service offers a comprehensive group work programme that includes psychoeducation sessions, therapeutic groups, and opportunities to engage with 12-step fellowship. These are designed to help individuals build self-awareness, develop coping strategies, and establish strong, supportive recovery networks.

The Role
As an Addiction Rehab Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide emotional, practical, and therapeutic support to residents helping them to develop coping skills, access community resources, and achieve personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to individuals in recovery.
- Assist in facilitating group work and psychoeducation sessions.
- Encourage and support participation in 12-step fellowship meetings and community recovery activities.
- Support residents with daily living skills, health, and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, counsellors, and social workers.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with organisational policies.
- Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is empathetic, resilient, and passionate about helping others make positive life changes.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people affected by addiction, homelessness, or mental health issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Shift patterns include day shifts and night shifts, covering weekdays and weekends.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles.
Desirable:
- Member of SSSC or willing to register.
- SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
- Knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, psychoeducation, and recovery models.
- Familiarity with the 12-step approach or similar peer-support frameworks.
