Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our Homecare services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care or support, with specific experience in assisted living, nursing homes, and dementia care. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to our residents while managing staff and resources effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to the needs of residents, including those with Alzheimer's and dementia.
- Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
- Administer medication as required and ensure proper documentation is maintained for all medication administration.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and satisfaction, making adjustments to care plans as necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and external stakeholders to promote a collaborative approach to care.
- Ensure that health and safety standards are upheld throughout the facility, conducting risk assessments as needed.
- Manage budgets effectively while ensuring quality care is maintained.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a management role within senior care or nursing environments.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care practices and experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's disease.
- Valid nursing qualification with relevant registration (e.g., NMC).
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of supervising teams effectively.
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that meet individual resident needs.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of care delivery.
- Compassionate approach towards residents and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding at all times.
