What do we expect from you for our young people?
Working in a Hennessy Group Children’s Home means being a part of a young person’s day to day life. This means being there to support them through the highest highs and lowest lows. Our staff team members are a significant part of enabling our young people to get their childhood back and create pathways to become well rounded adults – this role we have in a young person’s life is hugely rewarding. There will be challenges along the way but there will also be moments to celebrate and moments you will always remember!
Who are we and what do we do?
Our homes are all Good or Outstanding, and we are incredibly proud of this. We accommodate young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, autism and learning disabilities, and our aim is to create Outstanding outcomes for the young people in our care. Our staff team members are fulfilled by the idea of affecting even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate every achievement, no matter how small it may appear – to the young person this could be their biggest achievement.
As a team leader you will also make sure that the staff team are supported and the home is operating at our high standards, prepared to step up to deputise for the Registered and Deputy Managers. We’re looking for someone able to relate to and build relationships with our young people. Compassionate, emotionally resilient, and supportive, you’ll also be able to provide the leadership that inspires your colleagues.
We have Psychologist and Occupational Therapist input to ensure we create a circle of care, support and trust around a young person – ensuring they achieve the best outcomes possible.
Every day is different, and we make a difference every day. Everything we do for the young people and the service really matters. It is always recognised and its always appreciated.
