A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy and well-established workshop in Basildon.
We’re looking for a skilled technician with strong experience across a wide range of vehicles, including prestige brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Land Rover and VAG, who can confidently carry out everything from in-depth diagnostics and repairs through to servicing and cambelt replacements.
This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys working in a professional workshop environment with a varied workload.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am – 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance and repairs on all makes and models
- Advanced diagnostics and fault finding
- Mechanical and electrical repairs
- Cambelt replacements and major repair work
- Working on prestige vehicles including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Land Rover and VAG
- Carrying out work on cars and vans
- Using diagnostic equipment accurately and efficiently
- Completing work to a high standard within agreed timescales
- Recording repairs and findings clearly
- Maintaining workshop safety and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 NVQ in Automotive Maintenance & Repair (or above) – essential
- Strong diagnostics and defect repair experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics equipment and systems
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- High attention to detail
- Strong quality awareness
- A proactive attitude and willingness to get jobs completed to a high standard
Advantageous but Not Essential
- MOT Tester qualification
- Master Technician accreditation
- F-Gas accredited
- Hybrid / EV training
