Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am–5:00pm & Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (33 hours per week)

Our client is looking for an IT Support / Field Engineer Apprentice to join their Service team and support the deployment and management of their products and services.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining field engineering, helpdesk support, and workshop-based technical work. It’s ideal for someone with a keen interest in IT, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
You will work closely with customers, supporting office technology across multiple locations, while gaining real-world experience in installation, maintenance, and fault resolution. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical IT and engineering skills within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide routine and emergency fault diagnosis and repair of office technology
- Service and maintain printer and MFP fleets
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of repairs and maintenance work
- Track and manage stock levels and parts inventory
- Assist with ordering parts and materials required for ongoing support
- Set up, commission, and deliver office technology products to customer sites across Yorkshire and surrounding areas
- Train end users on the correct use of hardware and software
- Maintain accurate records for expenses, mileage, and other role-related documentation
- Perform additional duties as required by the line manager
- Work towards and achieve KPIs in line with company policy
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to gather and share user feedback
- Contribute to and improve support documentation, ensuring it is clear and accurate
- Research and create new documentation to address knowledge gaps
- Support the sales team by improving their technical knowledge and understanding of products and services
ABOUT YOU:
ESSENTIAL
- Strong interest in IT and technology
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Full UK driving licence
DESIRABLE
- Basic understanding of office technology such as printers or IT hardware
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Interest in field-based or hands-on technical work
- Awareness of IT support or engineering environments
