We have a new opportunity for a Full Time Warehouse Operative, working within a team of @20 colleagues. This is a permanent role and we are looking for the right candidate who is interested in stability, commitment and building their skillset within the company.

THE WORKING HOURS ARE FROM 10AM - 7PM AND THE POSTCODE FOR THE DISTRIBUTION CENTRE IS WA11 9UD. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU CAN FULFIL THESE HOURS AND ARE WITHIN REASONABLE TRAVEL TIME OF THE LOCATION.
Previous experience is preferable, although not essential as training will be given. The role is based in our 25,000 sq ft National Distribution Centre in Haydock, St Helens.
KEY TASKS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Accurate in picking, packing orders accurately
- Physical fitness - Ability to lift heavy items, bend, stretch, and walk for long periods, often in a cold environment
- Able to work at height, using ladders for order picking
- Ability to work at pace and thrive under pressure
- Achieve customer service deadlines
- Able to work well within a team and communicate effectively with others
- Understanding of health and safety regulations (H&S) and manual handling techniques
- Maintain good standards of housekeeping
- Assist (if required) in the unloading of deliveries including containers and the moving of stock (Please note this is not a Forklift Operator role)
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Basic Maths and English skills are essential
- Basic IT literacy to use the Warehouse Management System
- An understanding of basic warehousing and stock procedures is preferable
Salary: £26,436.80 per annum increasing to £27, 100 after successful completion of the three month probationary period
