Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Cook dishes ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support in serving food to customers in a timely and courteous manner
- Ensure all ingredients and supplies are stocked and stored correctly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during food handling and preparation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the kitchen environment
