Family Coordinator
Location: Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire
Pay: £15.12 per hour (PAYE) / £19.10 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Temporary (until September)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Sanctuary Personnel is currently recruiting a Family Coordinator to join Children’s Services within the East Riding of Yorkshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children, young people, and families through early help and targeted intervention, helping to improve outcomes through coordinated, multi-agency support.
The role involves working closely with families to complete whole-family assessments, develop and review support plans, and ensure effective delivery of interventions. You will play a key role in coordinating support across services, ensuring that children and families receive the right help at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to children, young people, and families in line with Child in Need and Early Help frameworks
- Undertake whole-family assessments and develop outcome-focused family support plans
- Lead and coordinate Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings to ensure effective multi-agency working
- Work closely with social workers, family support workers, and partner agencies to deliver joined-up interventions
- Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately in line with local procedures
- Ensure the voice of the child and family is central to all planning and decision-making
- Build strong, trusting relationships using a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach
- Maintain accurate case records and produce high-quality reports for meetings, reviews, and safeguarding processes
- Work flexibly across the locality, including home visits and occasional out-of-hours work where required
- Contribute to reflective practice and continuous service improvement
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years, Childcare, Education, Health, or Social Care
- Experience working directly with children, young people, or families in a support setting
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and information sharing procedures
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment
- Commitment to trauma-informed and strengths-based practice
- Flexible and adaptable approach to service needs
